CodeHarana (“CodeHarana,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an AI-powered application-building platform (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed the Service to collect as little personal data as reasonably possible.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text — it is salted and hashed using the scrypt algorithm.

Content you create

We store the projects you build: the prompts you send, the files CodeHarana generates, version snapshots, and any environment variables or secrets you choose to save. This content is associated with your account so you can return to it.

Usage & technical data

We collect limited technical information necessary to operate the Service, such as session identifiers (via a secure cookie), request logs, and error diagnostics.

2. How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
• To authenticate you and keep your session secure;
• To generate, run, and preview the applications you build;
• To communicate with you about your account or important changes;
• To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or security issues.

3. AI processing & your content

To build and edit your apps, the prompts and relevant project files you submit are sent to our third-party AI model provider (DeepSeek) for processing. This is necessary to deliver the core function of the Service. We do not sell your content, and we do not use your private project content to train our own models. Please avoid submitting sensitive personal data in prompts that you would not want processed by an AI provider.

4. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

• With service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g., our AI model provider and hosting infrastructure), under appropriate confidentiality obligations;
• When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service;
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

5. Data security

We apply industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transport (TLS), hashed passwords, httpOnly session cookies, and access controls that scope each project to its owner. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to promptly address any vulnerabilities we discover.

6. Data retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. When you delete a project, its files and version history are removed. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your rights & choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete projects at any time from within the Service, and you may request account deletion by contacting us. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law (including GDPR and CCPA where relevant).

8. Cookies

We use a single essential, httpOnly session cookie to keep you logged in. We also store your theme preference (light/dark) locally in your browser. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
